PH Test
Kit |
You should already have one of
these if you keep any fish at all. Testing and maintaining an accurate PH
in your tank is important in keeping healthy fish. Bettas are not picky
about their PH, but a PH lower than 6.5 will quickly kill the fry (babies)
Try to keep your PH at approximately 7.0. I have heard theories that a
lower PH will produce more males and a higher PH will produce more females. This has not been proven though.
This is the PH Test kit I use :
Freshwater Deluxe pH Test Kit
Aquarium pH levels can vary and affect your
fish. This kit allows you to keep an accurate measure of tank pH levels
before levels become dangerous. Reads pH levels 6 to 7.6. Includes pH up
and pH down adjusting solutions. |
