Large Styrofoam
Cup |
You will need this to create a
sort of trap to keep the eggs from floating around the tank. Cut the cup
in half from top to bottom. Creating what looks like 2 mini airline
hangars. A heater clamp & suction cup pressed on the end of the cup
will secure it firmly to the back glass of the tank, or you can let it
float up against the glass. This will allow a
clear view of the nest, and later the fry. Do not use tape to hold the cup
in place. If you are not careful, toxins can get in you water from the
tape warming in the warm water. Trust me, I know :) The male will
automatically create the bubble nest in the cup. If you are using live
plants with broad leaves, you can skip the cup and let him build in the
plants. |
